I am Scottish and Glaswegian and I was always proud of the Scottish standing in the world. We were always known as the friendliest and most welcoming people on earth. No longer.

I find it amazing that a people that are known throughout the world for their hospitality and fun can get embroiled in racism. I for one am proud to be a Scot and I am proud to have people coming to my country from all over the world. That's what makes Scotland Scotland. I love speaking to and learning from people of other cultures and it is about time that we all did.

Come on Scotland, drop the nonsense and get back to being that welcoming, friendly and accepting place that we are famed for. After all, where do your family come from?
